-my pagnapagna-
(July 25, 2017 a Tuesday)
Continued from Previous Post

After coming from the waterfalls at Sitio Quilong, there were still plenty of time to visit the cascades nearby.
They let the two local kids go with me to visit the "Lipit" falls and they became my guides.
A short hike going down to the stream from the rice fields and Bimmito falls can be seen just downstream. Another short hike upstream and there it was... the one they call "Lipit"

"Lipit"
It was a short cascade on a narrow waterway. Its waters fall to a narrow but quite deep "spillway" flooding into much wider but shallow pool area. A swimmer can hardly swim against the flow along the "spillway" as the flow was intensified by the narrowness and find himself back in the pool area.
Lipit is an Iloco term for narrow.

After taking some photographs and videos, we went back downstream and took a second look at Bimmito Falls.
Since rainy season had started, it had more waters falling to its deep natural pool area that was then overflowing.

Afterwards, we went back to the celebration venue.
Their jeep that will fetch us when we leave went downtown early that morning to convey passengers and will only be back for us maybe around five o'clock in the late afternoon after getting passengers from downtown San Gabriel.
It was barely noontime and the long wait until five o'clock was making me uneasy. I decided to leave early through walking.
It was around 12:30 pm when I started walking on that generally uphill road. Although the sun peeked through the clouds once in a while, it was a generally gloomy day. I finally arrived at the road junction at Barangay Amontoc around 1:30 pm and rested for a while at that corner waiting shed.
I rode a passenger motorbike that happened to passed-by and arrived at downtown San Gabriel at around two o'clock in that same afternoon. A ride on a jeep and I was bound for Home Sweet Home.
