Manage our waste products properly (pack it in, pack it out), don't leave your trash. Let us not vandalize/write/etch on its rock surfaces as well as on trees. Be respectful of the community's culture and traditions.

(June 15, 2017 a Thursday)

The road going to Apayao (the barangay of San Gabriel, La Union) is the same one going to barangay Amontoc (that will eventually go down to Tangadan Falls) but it will separate at the Siwsiwan area, taking the one going left.

After a 37 minutes back ride from downtown San Gabriel, on a passenger motorbike, I finally arrived at my destination which was Barangay Apayao (7:52 am). The driver left and I was on my own.

I went asking directions for the "Bimmito" Falls wherein they also volunteered to show the trail to the waterfalls which was just some few minutes away. We arrived at the waterfalls area at around 8:05.

"Bimmito"

Its waters cascade down to around 10 feet on a inclined surface. The interesting part of this waterfall is its pool area which is a favorite of the locals for diving and swimming.
Bimmito" is the word (local dialect) to describe the bowl or pool area of the waterfall. It looked like a deep well where water is impounded.

Although the rainy season had started, the rivers are not yet fully sustained with rain water
as seen in "Bimmito" where there was just a stream of waters running.

Afterwards, we went for the other waterfalls/cascades at the other tributary.

Note: I came to know about the waterfalls from "Val J." of Little Surfmaid Hotel (in Urbiztondo, San Juan, La Union) and was about to visit him at that place: Apayao, San Gabriel, La Union
