-my pagnapagna-
July  2018

After coming from a waterfall, I walked my way down the road (9:25 am) and arrived at a waiting shed by the roadside (9:33 am). There I met a gardener.

We talked and in our conversation he asked, "Apay ditoy lang aya ti pagkaskastaam? (Why is it only here where you do those?)" pertaining to me visiting waterfalls and other tourists spots.
"Haan met. Apay ada pay aya? (Not really. Why is there more?)", I answered and asked back.
"Ket ada met. Idiay Kapangan (Yes there is. In Kapangan)", he answered.
Kapangan is a municipality in the province of Benguet.
"Taga idiayak (I am from there)", he added.
He then told me about the waterfalls where people go for picnics and how to get there wherein there is only certain days of the week that transportation is available at Baguio City.
"Anya ngay imulmulam? (What are you planting?)", I asked.
"Makitam to ta malabsam dita. Pipino (You will see when you passed by there. Cucumber)", he replied.
Afterwards, we parted ways as I went down to another trail wherein I passed by a smaller waterfall and went to the garden areas at another mountainside.
Most of the trail near the gardens were muddy.
Passing through a short mountainside trail led to another garden area but this time the gardens are filled with overgrowth's of vegetation. The place looked abandoned or not yet prepared for gardening since the last cropping. So, I went on to the mountainside trail but it led me away from the waterfalls area. It seemed that I made a wrong turn.

I decided to go back to the abandoned gardens.
Through the thick overgrowth I passed through with a stick in front of me warding away creatures that might be on my path.
I made it to the creek but it was hard to get to the edge (near the drop area).
I saw a gardener who went to check on the black pipes at the other side. I asked him the way to the edge.
I made it to the edge.

The Waterfall
It is a series of waterfalls. Every tier is almost a free fall.

I must confess, I am afraid of edges and heights. So I have to keep a safe distance from the edge.
On a nice spot, I sat down and started to do a sketch.

I can't concentrate as the sun shone brightly above and the distant clouds were turning gray. A sign that rain will be coming soon.
At around noontime (12:00 pm), I left the area.
I made it to the road at 12:53 pm.
Walked on that uphill road and arrived at the Barangay Hall at 1:45 pm. Even though the Barangay Chairman was not around, there I reported what transpired on my trek to the waterfalls. After which, I went back again along the road that led me to the main highway. It rained along the way.
I made it to the highway at around 2:53 pm where I finally got a ride going back to Home Sweet Home.
