-my pagnapagna-
(June 24, 2017 a Saturday)

I rode a jeep bound for "Buyagan/Housing/Motorpool/EXTENSION" located along Magsaysay Avenue in Baguio City.
With 15.50 fare, I alighted at the Upper Wangal Extension. It was the trip route termination area of the the jeep wherein it will be going back.
So I walked along that descending road and went to a "sari-sari" store for a snack and while at it, asked about the waterfall.
The store owner was not sure but said that some visitors usually go down to the river area.
I went walking on that descending road that turned into tire path and met a woman along the way.
"Good afternoon mother, ayan na didiay waterfalls ditoy?" (Good morning mother, where is the waterfalls in this area?), I asked.
She did a deep thinking but seemed not to remember of any waterfalls.
"Diyay bassit lang nga waterfalls?" (Just a small waterfall?) I added.
"Ahh, baka dyay _#$*^_ ti ibagbagam. Surotem lang datoy dalan nga agpababa ngem agpa-left ka " (Oh, maybe the "_#$*^_" is what you are saying. Just follow this road going down but turn left), she replied.
Although, I did not quite get the name of the waterfall that she said, I thank and followed her instructions.
The road led to a stream and saw a group of people swimming at the small irrigation dam. The waterfall must be somewhere near.

I asked from the group if they knew where the waterfall was. One of them gladly replied and he became my guide going to the waterfalls.
On a small log bridge we crossed the stream and walked our way into plantations of sayote. We had to stoop walk under the g.i. wire trellis of the sayote vines.
It was just a short walk going to the waterfalls area.
At the waterfalls, a family had just finished swimming/bathing and was preparing to leave. Few minutes later they left together with their dog on a leash.

"Dub-ong" Falls (Doob-ong)
A small waterfall of around 8 to 10 feet drop located amidst the plantation of sayote wherein some of its waters are tapped for watering plants. It also has a small basin or pool area good just for few people at a time and so it is not ideal for large group.

It rained for a moment as we were at the falls but the sun peeked through the clouds once in a while.
After just some few minutes at the waterfall, we left and my companion stayed behind at the small irrigation dam.
Kept walking on that uphill road and went to another store to ask the name of the waterfall while having a snack. I did get a vague name as well as its spelling.
Continued walking and along the way, I met the woman whom I met earlier on my way down and asked again what was the name of the waterfall and its spelling. I got a clearer reply but still not so sure. I thank her and parted ways.
At the road intersection, I rode a jeep going downtown La Trinidad (km.5) and eventually rode another jeep for Baguio City and a bus ride bound for Home Sweet Home.

Thanks to:
