-my pagnapagna-

From a mini-bus ride, I arrived at the drop-off by the roadside at Sablan, Benguet.
I stood there for some few minutes waiting for someone to inquire to.

A woman passed by whom i asked on how can i go to the other level of the waterfalls. She told me that I can go farther down the road and there will be another trail going down the river. As we talked, the owner of the store in front of us came (His name is "Tipayno") and said that that would be a much longer way. He added that I can just follow the concreted steps going down and at the change of direction, just before the metal stairs, walk on the trail going towards the left. It will lead down to a G.I. sheet shack by the river and from there walk upstream leading to the lower cascade of the waterfalls.
I asked him if there is somebody i can get as my "guide" but there seem to be nobody available as they all went down to the river near the waterfalls.
I thanked them and went down the concreted steps and just at the change of direction, just before the metal stairs, I followed a foot trail going down the river and there i saw the shack by the river. At the shack, i saw men, about six of them, preparing chicken for "pinikpikan" and getting ready for a picnic whom i asked directions.

At the change of direction. Going down following the concrete stairs will lead to Towing falls main cascade
while the foot trail straight forward will lead to the lower cascade.

At the river, a short walk going upstream led me to the lower cascade of Towing falls.

After some few minutes, i decided to go back.

I passed by them swimming at downstream near the shack

The boys and men were having their "drinking session" as i passed by the shack.

A local chicken recipe called "Pinikpikan" were cooking as i passed by the shack

I went up on the same trail going to the concreted steps and had a short visit of the main cascade of Towing falls.

Here are the second and third cascade as seen from the above

After the ascending walk back to the road, I rested at the roadside and there I met "Tipayno" again. We talked a lot about the waterfalls and also the another cascade that still lies above the main cascade. Definitely, that would be my target when i come back to this place.

It was Sunday that day. Photo shows visitors going down to the waterfalls

I thanked him as i waited for a mini-bus that would take me back to Home Sweet Home.
