Frequented by joggers in the early mornings, this park also serves as a reminder of some of the freedom fighters of our country the Philippines.-pagnapagna
It is nice to visit the park to just sit down and watch the cars and pedestrians passing by at the road below or see the sun set by the West Philippine Sea along the Poro Point Peninsula (where Thunderbird Resort is located).
The best time to go there is when the sun is lying low by the horizon (early mornings and late afternoons) so as not to get sunburns otherwise get an umbrella or apply some sunblock.
Overlooking the West Philippine Sea,
this Park is a series of concrete
steps (138 total steps) located at a hillside
(Heroes Hill) with concrete statues
of some of the freedom fighters placed strategically along the
sides of the landings of the steps
while the National hero Dr. Jose
Rizal is placed at the central part
of the steps (see illustration/plan).
