PHILEX - a barangay glimpse and Balog Eco-Tourism

"Almost self-sufficient, this thriving community up in mountains of Tuba, Benguet is formed primarily from a mining industry that boast of its Responsible Mining campaign"

This is more of an impromptu decision i made late afternoon yesterday. That is going to Philex Mining Community in Padcal, Tuba, Benguet  particularly the "Balog River Eco-Tourism Park".
Unfortunately, it is not yet open to the public (I'm too eager!!). We decided to just frolic the community by taking some photographs of the place through the help of  my relative who works and lives there together with his family.

One of the interesting things being done in the Philex mining area is their upcoming Eco-Tourism projects particularly along the Balog river. As i've seen from pictures it has some walking/hiking trails such as hanging bridges and elevated walkways. Hopefully be opened to the nature loving public soon.
